Flourless Chocolate Cake

Who doesn’t love chocolate? I eat chocolate daily, I cannot lie about that. Here’s a simple decadent chocolate cake recipe that requires no flour!

Pre Heat Oven to 350 Degrees:

In a sauce pan on low heat, melt 1/2 cup of butter with 9 oz of good quality dark chocolate that has been chopped. At least 70 % Cocoa. 39 42  When melted, remove from the heat and add while stirring 3/4 cup of granulated sugar, 2 Tbsps of brewed coffee (I used what was left over from my morning coffee), 1 1/2 Tsp vanilla extract, 1/4 Tsp of salt, and 3 egg yolks.

Keep the egg whites and in a mixer beat on high until stiff peeks form.

Add them to the chocolate mixture folding them in gently.

After the egg whites are incorporated, add 3/4 Tsp baking powder and 1/3 Cup of cocoa.

Mix and pour into a 9 inch cake pan or another shallow oven safe dish and bake for about 25-30 minutes until the edges look a little crispy but center still giggles a bit. Let cool 15 minutes and serve with vanilla ice cream or whip cream. ENJOY!
